52 Families #45

I don’t know how to begin to tell you how important this family is to our city.  They both work for the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT).  Kim is the assistant commissioner for education and outreach and Andy is the assistant commissioner for public space.  When you walk through Times Square, or any public space in New York City for that matter, and you see tables and chairs and people, that’s Andy, not a car!

I totally believe living in cities is one of the most important things we can be doing for the environment right now. If you live in a city and you don’t have a car, even better!  Let’s share urban space, pool resources and save energy.

It’s no secret around these parts, this family is also very talented in the music and drama department.  Nora is definitely headed for Broadway and it will be no surprise to me when Isaac grows up to play for the Yankees.

Here we are at home with Kim, Andy, Nora and Isaac Wiley-Schwartz with Minosh.
