This week I spent some time with Lee Wade and Tad Hills in their sunny Boerum Hill home. Artistic talent abounds in this family. Their kids, Charlie and Elinor, run a week long camp for local youngins every June and I know they have a lot to offer any aspiring crafter. Charlie even made the pillow and crazy cool monkey in the 1st photo below. Lee is a children's book publisher, her publishing company Schwartz and Wade Books is an imprint of Random House. Tad Hills is somewhat of a local hero around these parts. He is the author and illustrator of the Duck and Goose series and most recently How Rocket Learned to Read. You can see Rocket here taking a moment before we decided he should be front and center on the dining room table. After all, he does have his own ipad app.
